Worth the Risque..totally worth it!

I have a damn soft spot for holos...so long it's holographic nail polishes, they sure attract my attention. Color Club's Worth the Risque has no escape either. Initially, I thought it to be very much less holographic than my Nfu Oh but it surprised me! Though still not up on par with Nfu #61, the holographic effect from Worth the Risque is still great.

This formula is rather thick yet not streaky so I still applied 3 coats over my nails for a better finishing look. The photos you are about to see are completed with SV top coat.

A 'ME' & Ladies' Dinner Day

Haha...I promised...this was really an impromptu idea which came into my mind on that particular day when I took a day off in early June. Oh well, since I was already on it, might as well just post it up!

My day off started with a McDonald breakfast with my colleagues (yes, I still went breakfast with them on my 'off' day...) and given the fact that this is my favourite McD meal, how can i resist not snapping a shot of it? :D

My favourite Hotcakes with sausage muffin meal ^^

Next, I parted with my colleagues and head into town for my monthly indulgence - MASSAGE! With my Olympus XZ-1 on toll, camwhore shot before heading for my massage is a natural must!

Played with soft focus art filter from my camera~

Felt all-so-wonderful after my massage at Rustic Nirvana! While waiting for time's up to meet with the ladies for dinner, I took this as a form of 'high-tea' for myself, hehe.

Moist Chocolate cake from Secret Recipe

There's a reason why I only took a cake rather than a proper lunch prior to dinner. That's all because our dinner is buffet-styled ^^. How could I let my stomach go all full before a buffet began? Oh, and we had our dinner at Spices Cafe in Concorde Hotel (previously Le Meridien Hotel). They seemed to have renovated the restaurant previously, thus, the current design/theme is much more westernized and grand, not to mention cozy. :D

My ladies!
I have no freaking idea why I look so fat in this photo...
Chilli crab
The food's pretty fine, only that the selection's pretty limited. Generally, they have Asian cuisine, Pasta, Seafood (their oysters pretty good according to my ladies), pastry, desserts, chocolate fondue and fruits. For the price it charges, I think it deserves more good selection. For me, I literally grabbed all the salmon sashimi I can see or digest during the dinner, haha!

Me and my ladies had a great time chatting and gossiping away on that day during the dinner. Most of the topic happened to surround a lot on kids but of course there were other topics involved too :P Can't wait for the next meet-up and the chats' lining up for!

Polka Dot, Blue French Tips~

I love french manicure, I love french tips. Such designs never seem to bore me and I simply love it to the core.

In this manicure, I used quite a few brands of nail polishes. For my base color, I used The FaceShop's pearl sheer-based nail polish for all my nails. For french tips, I decided to break the traditional white tips and resort to blue instead. I also used tapes to make my french tips ^^. This blue comes from Etude House Luci Darling series, named Indigo. As for the polka dots, they come from China Glaze's White on White.

If your area has Etude House shop, I will URGE you to grab EVERY single bottle of its Luci Darling series cos they simply ROCK! Formula is wonderful no matter which color I swatch! Gotta admit, maybe I do have a little problem swatching  yellow ones....

Nail Polish Hauls from Seoul~

Ho Ho Ho! Being away for business trip didn't give me any excuses NOT to grab any nail polishes! :D Since I was already in Seoul (beginning of June), I might as well add more colors into my nail polish wardrobe ^^.

Left to Right:
1st 2 belongs to Nature Republic, White, glitter & pink belongs to FaceShop.
Orange & yellow comes from Etude House, gold glitter from Skinfood.

And yes, I literally went into ALL the local beauty shops that are popular from my area & bought them off the shelves! Could have bought more but thought I already bought far too much. Hell NO! After I came back then I realised I could have bought more! They were really dirt cheap in Seoul...

Nature Republic: 1,000 won each
FaceShop: 3,900 won for the ones with black caps, 1,000 won for the pink nail polish
Etude House: 3,000 won each
Skinfood: 3,000 won

Must make sure to grab them in a more daring manner next time, haha.

"Good Enough to Eat" Contest: Strawberry Nails

I took on the courage to participate in Nail Polish Art Addiction's nail art contest titled 'Good Enough to Eat'. The theme's food-based and so the first thing that comes to my mind was in fact fries from McDonald's. However, due to work constraint, time and energy wasn't on my side and so I decided to submit a nail art I did recently - Strawberry Nails.

There are many more entries submitted other than me and I am super impressed by their effort for this contest! Do head over and vote for your favourite (Please VOTE for me! I'm No.11 contestant!) design if you are available to take just a short peek!

~Miu Miu~

I've committed a lot of sins (shopping) throughout my trip to Seoul...a lot indeed. One of my sins included my haul from Miu Miu at Seoul Incheon Airport that cost me around 400USD! But hey, it's a damn good deal!

Its material is of Lambskin & really soft to the touch. I knew if I didn't take the opportunity to grab it home with me, I will regret it!

Couldn't help snapping a shot with my new wallet haul, hehe. ^^

Nubar ~ Rain, rain...in Purple!

Been wanting to get my hands on a Nubar nail polish but always deferred from clicking the 'buy' button on eBay till one day, I finally put my itchy finger on it and bought myself my first Nubar nail polish!

For a start, I got myself a beautiful colour which I saw from one of the nail polish blogs - Purple Rain. True to its name, it really does looks like rain in purple. For my swatch, I applied 3 coats on each of my nails.

Application: Although the brush is not as soft as China Glaze's, the application onto the nails is still pretty smooth. The formula of this polish is not streaky at all but it's quite sheer. 3 coats should do the magic.

Nubar polishes are definitely worth the investment. :D

Pretty oh, Swarvoski!

I was lingering around at the airport before taking the flight to Seoul for business trip when I chanced upon Swarovski boutique within the airport. Was admiring the accessories from the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection (love the skull ring but too bad it's meant for guys only) when the lady showed me the display where they were holding 50% Sale items.

That was then I spotted this ring & I just knew I gotta have it!

I wonder if my nail colour have something to do with it but the ring looked just so damn nice on my finger! Bought it without any further thought for fret of me regretting my decision, haha! Am loving this ring so much now. :D

Parcel of Joy ~ Milani Hauls

A day before I flew off to Seoul last week, I received a parcel in the office. Without a doubt, I knew what's within that parcel. That's right, my Milani nail polish hauls from Cherry Culture!

Parcel was wrapped in such a secured manner, I really have no concern on being afraid my loot would be damaged. By the way, I did not order directly from Cherry Culture but through a spree-er instead due to a linkage to my Seche Vite refill order.

There, my 2 lovely Milani nail polishes - Purple Gleam and Red Sparkle. Hope to swatch it soon & post the pictures up here!

Manicure for a wedding~

Did this manicure to attend a friend's wedding recently in May and frankly speaking, I really like this set of manicure cos they look pretty much like gel nails to me...hehe ^^.

The glitter polish comes from China Glaze's Teenage Dream, and I put on some pink rhinestones to make it more bling! Some told me why not use a more prominent colour for the rhinestones but I honestly do not want my own manicures to look too overkill...for the wedding. It's not MY wedding to begin with ya? :p

Received quite a fair bit of compliments from this set of 'bridal' manicure for my friend's wedding, felt so contented!

Remedy for my battered soles...

I have no freaking idea why my soles were SOOO dry recently till the point they cracked, leaving me with pain. Not only that, it made me so difficult to walk with cracked soles & I literally got to limp (at some point) when the pain just got too much for me.

Thinking that my feet need some moisture, I decided to invest on a foot moisturizer. After some shopping, I ended up buying a foot moisturizer from The Body Shop - Honey & Beeswax Hand and Foot Butter.

The container's really secured, so secured to the point I was pretty afraid to open it cos it can somehow damage my manicure, LOL! However, I bought this for the sake of my battered soles, and so, I gotta use it no matter what!

Just like it's name, it looks like butter alright. It does feel creamy to the touch & smells nice too. Upon applying it onto my soles, I feel moisturized indeed. Till date, I've used it for like 2 weeks & I can see my soles getting better. And no, I'm not gonna post the picture of my batter soles cos they look too damn hideous for me to even post it up here. Hopefully, this little remedy can bring my battered soles to life soon enough~~~~~ *cross fingers*
