Blue Dotty Art Manicure

I've been pretty slacked doing my nails due to my recent addiction in certain dramas. Too many dramas of my liking had surfaced and I simply couldn't take my attention away! However, that doesn't mean I've stopped!

This time, I put on my latest nail polish haul from Rubi - 'Blue Suedes Shoes'. As usual, I added a little art in addition to the blues for some design, polka dots!

Above photo was taken under white light.

I love how vibrant this shade of blue looks on my nails, and reminded me of ocean. Vibrant as it looks, application for this nail polish wasn't easy at all. It dries pretty fast, almost at the point when I just took a brushful of it onto my nail. Thus, I nearly re-dip everytime I applied once on my nail. Oh, and a test of speed as well, haha! This nail polish definitely requires a minimum of 3 coats in order to ensure its beauty.

Above photo was taken under warm light.

It was pretty amazing to see how different the blue tone has changed in accordance to the lighting. It seems so neon and bright under white light yet dark and navy-looking under warm light. Still, I like its colors and effect alongside with the dots I applied!

Well, as I mentioned above, the application for this nail polish might not be the most successful or smooth compared to others but honestly, I couldn't complain much either. This nail polish haul was by far the cheapest haul I've gotten for it only cost me $1! Such effect cost at only $1, I should say it is a good bargain with pretty result!

Now, all I need to do is to clear all my dramas so I can focus back on my nails!

Away to Taipei~

O.O Looking back at my blog, I realised I've not been posting since 2 weeks ago. Well, I was away to Taipei for half vacation, half business trip, hence for the missing updates. Connection isn't the best of friend when I was there so it was pretty hard to do even a wee bit of blog post far away at Taipei for me T.T

Speaking of Taipei, apart from the lousy connection I was getting over there, the trip was generally....FUN! How fun? For ladies, it is of cos about SHOPPING! I couldn't even imagine the amount of loot I got from Taipei! There's just too many to begin with! And due to my anxiety to know if I would be able to fit my loot into the luggage, I practically pack them all into my luggage using my ultimate packing skill on a daily basis! That explains why I did not manage to take a lot of pictures of my loot. But not to worry, at least i managed to snap the loot I've gotten from Day 1 (only) and I'll still post my trophies here when I wear and snap them down ^^.

Oh, almost forgotten to mention the manicure I wore during Taipei trip. As I knew I will be a super clumsy + rough person, I deliberately applied a light yet glittery manicure for this trip so I will not be so bothered by the chippings and peelings. Glad I made the right choice!

One other interesting thing would be a theme restaurant we went. It's in fact a Modern Toilet Restaurant which typically uses toilet bowls and basins as their dining seats and tables!

What's more, they even use mini toilet bowl to serve our main course. Yucks but interesting!

Do you dare to try? The food's damn nice so if you are visiting Taipei, do try! Leave me a comment if you need an address of this restaurant :D

There was just too many photos from this trip (I took a total of close to 500 photos) so I shall not burst my blog with them. If you like to view the photos, feel free to browse them in my Facebook ^^.

Oh, and we were pretty lucky and fortunate to be able to bump into Gay Trial Parade held outside Taipei Main Station on our last day there! It was really an eye-opener and boy were we glad we didn't miss it! They really dare to reveal, dress and show and I think they really deserves our admiration on their courage!

Lastly, let me end this post with a photo I quite like myself which happens to be a self-snapped shot, hehe. Taipei is definitely a fun place to be, especially if you like both sight-seeing and shopping. Mark this country as one of your must go place if you like a fair of bit of de-stress timeout. :D

Halloween - Spooky-licious Mani

I know it's rather early for Halloween nails, but since I'll be heading to Taipei for work next week (I can't possibly show these nails to my partners!) and most likely won't have the time to do up Halloween nails, I reckon this week is the best period. Thought of the designs for very long, hovering in my mind for weeks before i really lay them down onto my fingers.

Frankly speaking, this is my 1st attempt at total freehand nail art on my nails, not to mention 5 different designs on my 10 fingers. Quite a feat! As a result, I am quite satisfied with my work!

There it is! My very 1st Halloween nails, all done by myself! Took me almost 2 hours to complete the designs on all 10 fingers but I am really happy with the result! Love it, and so proud of my achievement/improvement ^^.

Last but not the least, Happy Halloween everyone!

Dotting Fun~

Sometimes, i would really run out of ideas on what design to use for my nails & let my subconscious takes over. This time, it really did.

Felt a little bored with french tips polka dots, i decided to dot with another style. I promise this was really an impromptu thingy. The base i used waa in fact a hot pink but i guessed the warm light made it looked like red...Added some glitters on the dots also to reduce the dullness.

So how do you find this design? Recently, i feel that nice & pretty nails doesn't really need complicated designs. Simplicity with some self-generated creativity can be a beauty too ^^.
