Kitty Craze, Kitty Nails ~ Hello Kitty

With my recent craze in Hello Kitty (all thanks to that special someone), I decided to do up a Hello Kitty nails for my business trip to KL. I wasn't really confident in freehand, especially a kitty but i decided to do it anyway.

Haha, as you can see from the photo, my kitty design wasn't perfect. As i really isn't a professional at freehand yet, i didn't realised my french manicure was too thin to fit in hello kitty's ribbon! What a muddle-head i am!

Hope it didn't too weird & un-kitty-like in this nail art, hehe...

人难做。。。

This has nothing to do with fashion, makeup nor nail polishes.but i'm just gonna post it anyway. 正所为,有事憋在心里不吐不快,要吐就吐的爽快!

-------------------------------------------

Why...is it that 人那么难做? To ensure one be guided on the right path, should one be the bad guy, a devil...

Or the good guy, a soft & ever-smiling one?

It's not easy to strike a balance. It never was, it never is. Therefore, at this point of time, the feeling of being SANDWICHED hits upon onself...

Yummy as it may looks, delicious as it may taste, yet the after-taste of it is always....BITTER.

Even so, I firmly believe that using the right approach at the right time will be the most appropriate way of guidance. Such situation can happen in many instances, in all aspects of one self's life, even in yours or mine.

'Sometimes, in order to guide people on the right direction, being nice or soft isn't always the best approach.'

'Sometimes, after showing kindness, you may not receive equal gratitude from others as you did not flaunt your method of kindness to public. Kindness is by heart, not by act.'

Don't worry, nothing personal. It's just an inner thought and I feel that it will be great to pen it down.

Taobao Loot - Casings Extravaganza!

My yet another Taobao loot has arrived! This time, i didn't order any outfit apart for my baby but i did order tons of iphone casings instead, wahahaha! What to do...iPhone 3GS casings are really hard to find now, especially pretty ones!

Firstly, the biggest loot from Taobao has to be this Hello Kitty bento box. In fact, i saw Gmarket selling for $13+ but i managed to source the exact same bento box but only cost me $6+! *smirk*

The size of the bento box is just nice, except for its cover. Due to the design of Hello Kitty, the cover tends to look bigger than what it's supposed to be. As i originally intended to let baby bring this to school, i just might have to wait till she's older. It just seems too big for her at this point.

Now, let's move on to the casings i've bought.

First, its an iPhone casing with the design of Hello Kitty. Frankly speaking, this is a nice & i believe to be a very durable casing. Yet, it didn't really suit me. Reason is very simple. I'm too used to putting home button stickers on my home button & this silicon casing happens to cover up the home screen. As pretty as it may look, i just gotta keep it aside for now...

Next up is a bling bling Hello Kitty design casing! I truly love this design cos it looks just too damm sweet!

The ribbon & the pearls on the casing really make the whole design lovely. It's really a bargain for me to get it below $16! I believe retail price should cost at least $30...

Last casing of this batch of loot will be my polka dot casing. This is the casing i'm currently using now and i must say it is really a slick design!

Well, though its not a new design to most 4g users, it does come across as a new design for me! Am really loving this casing to the max!

Apart from buying my own casings, i also helped my friends ordered a few casings. Those they chose are really pretty & i'm glad they like their order, as well as the price they got it at!

Above: Cindy's casing! Less than 14 bucks!

Above: Jaclyn's casing with big red ribbon! Only around 15 bucks!

I love shopping in Taobao, though 1 shopping cart may take me weeks to fill up cos the items available there are just too many! Next batch i'll be ordering CNY stuff as well as more casings for myself, again!

Shoes Haul ~ A Makeover

I did a huge change recently and without a doubt i know that this change will cost me a BOMB out of it - A Makeover of my Shoes collection!

Being a lover of open-toed shoes, I hardly, even barely buy nor wear covered shoes, thinking they toe killers. Simply cause they tend to hurt our little toes far too often if we wore them long. It had never occurred to me...ever, that I'll need to wear them....until now.

A victim of eczema on my soles, the skin on my soles often cracked, peeled, whatever you call it. It had become really a pain and strain to expose them for too long as they cracked and hurt me too much. Well, some just termed it as dry skin on the soles. It was chance that made me realise how covered shoes can keep my skins on the soles from cracking when i started buying covered shoes again from Korea till Taipei.

With that, I decided to stand firm and change my entire shoes collection! My 1st step? Bought myself a total of 4 shoes at 1 go!

Yes, It was not a tiny damage but rather huge one! However, I really start to think of the advantages & benefits they do to me. For one, they look bloody nice!

There! Wore my 1st pinky heels which cost me less than 10 bucks! It is really comfy and currently, I wore her the most to work ^^.

Had no opportunity, or rather, a suitable outfit to match the other shoes yet, thus no shots of them on my feet just yet. But I believe it will be soon enough!

Aside from those, I also grabbed a pair of flats from Rubi Shoes recently when they conducted their sale in their outlet. Amazingly, this pair of flats only costs 5 bucks! This had to be the cheapest yet prettiest flats I've ever bought locally!

It's floral-designed and I feel it rather sweet and dainty, which I don't have such design in my collection yet. Boy I'm glad I get to own it at such an affordable price!

I know there's gotta be more to refill my shoe collection now that I am opting for a total makeover. I know it, I just know it!

New Blog Design...

Tada ~ Changed my blog design yesterday night when I had a sudden urge/mood to re-decorate my blog.

It's not very arty-funky looking, but somehow, this new design gives me a cozy feel and the desire/mood to blog when I previewed it last night. Hence, I'll just leave the design like this till my next urge/mood to revamp again. :D Some may perceive it to be too simple, not very 'designer-like' but who cares? What matter most is I like how it looks, and it gives me the momentum to keep blogging. I think that's more important, at least to me ^^.

Alright, next blog post coming up soon!

A Time for Golden-Black

Sometimes, I really feel that gold brings a certain level of 'class' to the person using or wearing it, but likewise, not everyone can carry the colour gold has.

And so, I attempted to try it on my nails to see if i can bring on gold's classy presence. This time, I did a black french manicure with gold-color base. This design took me less than 30 mins to complete. :D

Not entirely sure if gold really suits me, but I feel this combination of golden-black does look kinda nice on my nails, hehe~

Fake Eyelashes Overload

Since my Taipei trip, I found myself really addicted to fake eyelashes a.k.a falsies. It was really sudden and unwittingly, I bought myself too many bloody eyelashes, HAHA!

Bought 2 boxes myself, and the rest were from my brother
who went Taipei 1 week after mine!

Love these lashes cos they look so SEXY~~~

Took the one shown on the lower part of the picture and applied it for one of my colleague's wedding dinner. The lashes weren't exactly soft as those I used before (perhaps cos they are just too cheap so the quality isn't of the best), so it took me longer than I used to take to apply them onto my eyes.

Did a smoky eyes makeup after I KO from work and I really like my makeup for that day! Kudos to my 2 new eyeliners whereby 1 of them is in fact half eyeliner, half smudge-r!

Applied the falsies but didn't emphasise on my eye MU cos
it's work/day time...
My smoky eyes MU for my colleague's wedding!
Did it when almost KO from work, hehe!

Like I said, although the lashes weren't that soft, the design of the lashes is really pretty. It also helps to enlarge my eyes a little! Most of my colleagues commented I look nicer with darker eyes MU so I believe I should really emphasise my eyes more so I can pass off with bigger eyes and a more prettier me (I hope)!

The Coffee Connosieur a.k.a TCC

It wasn't my 1st time patronising this cafe but never did i expect their food to be so delicious! Oh wait, i moved on too fast...

Well, i was surfing the web looking for nice & 'good to try' restaurant for my business partners when this cafe caught my attention. They caught my attention not by the price, but by their photos of super yummy breakfast courses. I do not own the photos i saw so it's a pity i couldn't show them here. But but but....they look really yummylicious!

I was pretty silly for not checking their breakfast hours & we ended up missing them. It was really saddening to miss all those breakfast course but since we're there, might as well try their lunch courses instead. In the end, only 2 types of main courses were ordered (it was really unintentional!) - Beef Steak on Sandwich & Pan-Seared Chicken Breast. I forgot to take the beef steak but i'm sure not to forget to snap down the main course i ordered, Pan-Seared Chicken Breast!

What's on the plate? Let's see...there's lotus root, white beans (I can't recall the exact name) & not to mention chicken breast, haha! However, what's making this so delicious is the sauce! I can't describe the taste but i can assure it is simply delicious! I can foresee myself patronising here again, this time with my family or friends!

I shall try out the outlet at Ion Orchard for its ambience & other main course next time, hehe!

I shouldn't be so excited, writing this post just makes me hungry again -.-"

Leopard Prints French Manicure

One of my favourite DIY nail art I did onto my nails. Though it was the first time painting my nails with this design, I felt so proud of myself, hehe.

Maybe it's time to try out other leopard colours for the fun of it? I do know one of my colleagues LOVE leopard prints to the MAX! Perhaps I shall do another design to surprise her!

Away to Taipei~

O.O Looking back at my blog, I realised I've not been posting since 2 weeks ago. Well, I was away to Taipei for half vacation, half business trip, hence for the missing updates. Connection isn't the best of friend when I was there so it was pretty hard to do even a wee bit of blog post far away at Taipei for me T.T

Speaking of Taipei, apart from the lousy connection I was getting over there, the trip was generally....FUN! How fun? For ladies, it is of cos about SHOPPING! I couldn't even imagine the amount of loot I got from Taipei! There's just too many to begin with! And due to my anxiety to know if I would be able to fit my loot into the luggage, I practically pack them all into my luggage using my ultimate packing skill on a daily basis! That explains why I did not manage to take a lot of pictures of my loot. But not to worry, at least i managed to snap the loot I've gotten from Day 1 (only) and I'll still post my trophies here when I wear and snap them down ^^.

Oh, almost forgotten to mention the manicure I wore during Taipei trip. As I knew I will be a super clumsy + rough person, I deliberately applied a light yet glittery manicure for this trip so I will not be so bothered by the chippings and peelings. Glad I made the right choice!

One other interesting thing would be a theme restaurant we went. It's in fact a Modern Toilet Restaurant which typically uses toilet bowls and basins as their dining seats and tables!

What's more, they even use mini toilet bowl to serve our main course. Yucks but interesting!

Do you dare to try? The food's damn nice so if you are visiting Taipei, do try! Leave me a comment if you need an address of this restaurant :D

There was just too many photos from this trip (I took a total of close to 500 photos) so I shall not burst my blog with them. If you like to view the photos, feel free to browse them in my Facebook ^^.

Oh, and we were pretty lucky and fortunate to be able to bump into Gay Trial Parade held outside Taipei Main Station on our last day there! It was really an eye-opener and boy were we glad we didn't miss it! They really dare to reveal, dress and show and I think they really deserves our admiration on their courage!

Lastly, let me end this post with a photo I quite like myself which happens to be a self-snapped shot, hehe. Taipei is definitely a fun place to be, especially if you like both sight-seeing and shopping. Mark this country as one of your must go place if you like a fair of bit of de-stress timeout. :D

Halloween - Spooky-licious Mani

I know it's rather early for Halloween nails, but since I'll be heading to Taipei for work next week (I can't possibly show these nails to my partners!) and most likely won't have the time to do up Halloween nails, I reckon this week is the best period. Thought of the designs for very long, hovering in my mind for weeks before i really lay them down onto my fingers.

Frankly speaking, this is my 1st attempt at total freehand nail art on my nails, not to mention 5 different designs on my 10 fingers. Quite a feat! As a result, I am quite satisfied with my work!

There it is! My very 1st Halloween nails, all done by myself! Took me almost 2 hours to complete the designs on all 10 fingers but I am really happy with the result! Love it, and so proud of my achievement/improvement ^^.

Last but not the least, Happy Halloween everyone!

Dotting Fun~

Sometimes, i would really run out of ideas on what design to use for my nails & let my subconscious takes over. This time, it really did.

Felt a little bored with french tips polka dots, i decided to dot with another style. I promise this was really an impromptu thingy. The base i used waa in fact a hot pink but i guessed the warm light made it looked like red...Added some glitters on the dots also to reduce the dullness.

So how do you find this design? Recently, i feel that nice & pretty nails doesn't really need complicated designs. Simplicity with some self-generated creativity can be a beauty too ^^.

Creepy Hotel Experience in Seoul

I was so tight up from work & home stuff since i got back from Seoul, Korea, that i practically didn't had time to update my blogs. That explains the lack of updates for the past 2 weeks. Now that i've settled most of the loose ends, let me relive an encounter i had when i was in Seoul.

Well, it wasn't my 1st trip to Seoul since most of my partners are located there but this time, i flew up to meet a new partner. Since they are situated nowhere near the usual hotel i stayed whenever i was there, we took a new hotel. It was a wrong decision.

Just look at the hotel entrance...
Where in the hell will a hotel block up their entrance glass door with such thing!? We got very paranoid, feeling this is like a love hotel in Seoul. However, it's not, though it does look like one.
Check out the passageway to the hotel rooms. Don't they look sleazy to you? The overall feel of staying there really drove my entire mind crazy, within 4 days.

It wasn't us who plan to stay here but actually our partners who claimed that this hotel seemed to be fine. Apprently, they didn't do their homework well enough. They got so embarrassed when they brought us there & looked so apologetic. What to do, we gotta put up in this hotel for the rest of the days...it then turned out (from another partners i met up personally when i was there) that this is a hotel for travellers. And in Seoul, hotels for travellers means they're not to the standard of those group hotels.

To give this hotel just a little credit, their rooms seems pretty decent and cozy...in a way.
That's the interior of the hotel room & as a matter of fact, the interior of the rooms on every floor are different. It's really just the general feel of the hotel that gives me the creepy & unpleasant feeling to stay in. The room itself was pretty fine.....

And so, the morale of the story is.....DON'T ever choose a traveller's hotel to stay when you are in Seoul if you are one who is more picky over accommodation! Though i'm the type who don't mind cheapee hotels, i hate one who flims up their hotel entrance making it looks like an indecent hotel!

Patriotic? Nails for National Day

Not wanting to look too patriotic for my own country's Independence Day (too dramatic), I decided to just go along with the color theme instead.

Since my country's flag consists of red and white, this is what I had done for my very own Independence Day (National Day), using China Glaze's Salsa and my brandless white nail art pen.

China Glaze Salsa has very nice application, not too streaky and displays smooth look to my nails. I did not regret buying this from my colleague whom was trying to get rid some of her nail polish collection! Great Buy!

The lines are drawn freehand and I am quite proud of myself to be able to draw the lines 80% straight, haha! Shall improve further ^^.

Brunch at Kuishin-Bo

*Below photos are all taken from Olympus XZ-1.

It was our country's Independence Day (National Day) and I decided to bring my native family out for a good lunch. Was deciding on a bunch of buffet restaurants and finally, I settled on a Japanese Buffet Restaurant - Kushin Bo.

Heard a lot of rave about this restaurant since ages ago but never had the chance nor opportunity to dine there. Now here's my chance! There was a wide variety of food spread such as Sashimi, sushi, teppanyaki, seafood, desserts, fondue and many more. My 1st choice had to be SOUP! Yummylicious soup!

The soup was delicious but kinda salty. However, they have hell lots of ingredients in it, that's why its more salty? I quite like the soup though!

Up next, I gotta get my hands on my favourite japanese cuisine and that's Sashimi! Even though i am spoilt with choice of various sashimi, i still can't help but to only devour salsom sashimi, hehehehehe! I also managed to grab some tamago and unagi sushi. :D

My favourite Unagi Sushi!!!
My forever love - Salmon Sashimi!!!!
Too much food intake already so time for some camwhoring moments! ^^
Camwhoring - My mom & I!
Camwhoring take 2!
It was a pity I'd forgotten to take the outfit of the day! What a waste!

I also managed to snap this glutton brother of mine who's indulging in his yummy DIY ice cream. Of course i made one for myself too, not to mention my little princess ^^. Mmmmm, now i'm drooling yet again!

Seafood is also one of Kuishin Bo's signature so how is it possible that we'll give them a miss? Well, i almost did since i don't really take a lot of seafood but thanks to my brother who's willing to do the dirty job of getting his hands dirty, he peeled the prawns for all of us. And i'm not talking about a few, but a mountain high of them!

The mess my brother made after his indulgence in prawns!
Imagine this is not the only plate but the 3rd one! Gosh...

Last but not the least, i took some of their desserts to close my chapter in Kuishin Bo. Though i've tried most of their desserts and pastry, i wanted to take this dessert down in my camera.

Yeah, that's a mango pudding. It looks normal but it tastes better than some of the other mango puddings i come across in a buffet restaurant.

All in all, Kuishin Bo's food is considerably above average but will be better if some of their selections are less salty. Will definitely re-visit again (this time, i want to try dinner buffet!) with my family for more japanese food!

Pastel French Manicure with Polka Dots

I was never one who likes to apply sweet, ladylike nails on my fingers but this time, i decided to go demure & attempt a sweet sweet design on my nails.

Being a french manicure addict, I couldn't help but to go for french tips once again & not to mention my fav DOTS! The purple tips are from Eilanto, while the white dots' from China Glaze's White on white.

This set of design had generated quite a lot of 'Likes' and 'Reblogs' in my Tumblr & as a matter of fact, i think i like it quite dearly myself too ^^.

Looks like i may attempt such pastel colors more often, hehe.

Sand-Storm Nails

Am trying the new mobile blogging app i've gotten recently to replace WordPress (kinda sucky) so if alignment seems weird to you, please pardon me!

Today, the nail design i'll be posting is kinda impromptu design for my birthday week. I know it should be designs of balloons or candles but unfortunately, it didn't register into my mind at that point of time., hahaha! Using Etude House's minty green and FaceShop's shimmer nail polishes, I freehanded my 'sand-storm' waves!

No balloons, no candles! Though i may not have painted those for my bday, i may just as well do it for a other occasion!
