Fun with Crackle ~ OPI Katy Perry Collection!

Had heard so much rave about Katy Perry Collection from OPI which caused cracked effect on nails. And so, I decided to give it a go at it too! Bought Teenage Dream & Black Shatter from OPI to see how amazing since this will be for my first attempt ^^.

Teenage Dream from OPI

How it looks on my nails ~ PRETTY!

Saw how glittery Teenage Dream is? It is so damn pretty on my nails, I almost couldn't bear to apply Black Shatter onto them T_T

However, my objective is to find out how the crackle looks on my nails, thus, I have no choice but to go ahead!

OPI Black Shatter

Cracked Effect after applying Black Shatter

Tada~! Here's the result of Crackle a.k.a Cracked Effect. How's that looked? Pretty amazing right? I really like the effect of this & I may just use a different base colour other than Teenage Dream to play with it! For a more lasting wear, do apply a top coat on top of it ya? For me, I am using Seche Vite's Fast Dry Top Coat which works like a charm all thanks to my very very very very pro colleague who's VERY into nail polishes!

Am gonna attempt on tape manicure soon. Good Luck to me! Ha ha ha~

Raymond Lam & Me~

This Saturday will mark the day where I will be able to see Raymond Lam (林峰) personally on his concert! As much as I am excited about it, the sad news I received since Monday happened to affect my mood towards this concert though...as in, half excited, half upsetting from the past week's incident.

This has also inspire me to post my history with Raymond Lam. As you all know, he's well-known for acting, and he in fact begun his acting since he was 20 years old. His singing comes later when TVB decided to engage their own actors for drama songs.

My history with Raymond Lam ^^:

From 2000 till Present~~~

I literally fell in love with him after watching this drama, not to
mention the songs he sang in this drama! Everything started from there!

Love this drama!

Honestly, I remembered when I started to follow his dramas, but I just couldn't remember the year of the dramas & I'm just lazy to go google the dramas now, hehe...However, the photos are posted in the order I watched the dramas :D

Sadly, there are still some dramas which he had acted in but I still didn't manage to have the time to watch :(

Have the drama in my storage already but dunno why still haven't watch it...

This is a movie, not a drama though

Can't believe he has been my TVB idol since Year 2004! Looks like after going to his concert, I will need to slowly finish all those dramas of his I have yet to watch! ^^.

Nails Art Obsession

Before I into the content of nails art obsession, I'll like to present my 1st virgin work of DIY nail art, on my own toenails!

Yes! Polka Dot nails for me! Guess what, the dots weren't dotted by a dotting tool but from a Q-tip stick! Innovative ya? Hehe! Hope it's not too ugly though I know there is still very much room for improvement.

This all began with the introduction of Konad nail art from my colleague on her FB. As you all know, I literally had no time for mani/pedi at all and thus always paint my nails myself, be it hands or feet. Upon my colleague's introduction of Konad Nail Art which seems so freaking cool, I decided to invest in the art stamps to try it out. Though I can't make way to manicurist, I believe I can still have pretty nails even if I stay at home, right? Yee, right, don't care!

And so, I ordered Konad's accessories too and I can't wait to start using it! Too bad the delivery needs 3 working days. :( While waiting to start my adventure on nail art stamping, I DIY again on my fingernails this time, with other style...

Nude shade with gold glitters! ^^

I really quite like DIY-ing my nails, hehe. Without the inspiration from my colleague, i may have just kept on painting the usual way which I did. Also ordered cuticle pusher and nipper cos my cuticles are damn ugly.

Not sure I can tahan anymore with my eyes closing down at me. Alright, time for me to hit the sack!

Tada~!!!

Reincarnation?

Do you believe in Reincarnation ~ 輪迴? I know not all believes in this. Though I myself was brought up under the culture of buddhism, I can't 100% sure of this either. Honestly, who'll know till one's actually dead?

The reason why this subject is being penned down has to do with dad. It was one day, well, one night actually when we just celebrated CNY & was heading home after a tiring day. In the car, I suddenly thought of my dad. I can't believe after the 24 years he had left us, he can still gushed into my mind like a smoke.

That night, I wondered. Wondered what could have happened to him if reincarnation exists. If it does exists and its truly happening, did he reincarnated & start a brand new life? If reincarnation is real & he really rebirth, could one of the younger generations' be him? I really wonder, my office has quite a few young colleagues & if reincarnation is believable, does it also means that those below age 24 are potential my dad reincarnated? Gosh, sounds so creepy...

Honestly speaking, this did come into my mind & though it may sound too creepy, I really can't help but to wonder sometimes. Maybe i missed my dad too much. Maybe...just maybe, I need the kind of love my dad once gave me. Maybe...seeing so many people whom have dads to dote on throughout the years really made me envy them.

Whether Reincarnation truly exists, no one knows. To those who still have daddy & their love by their side, cherish them. Don't wait till its too late then you want to relinquish their love. I lost mine, late to learn to cherish when he's around (I was only 6) but I know I'll bear these memories, as much as I can remember, forever.

Sorry if you feel this post a lil emo or creepy. This thought kept lingering in my mind so writing it down should be the best way to vent it out. It truly works!

Lo Hei ~ Lo Hei, Happy CNY!

Though my company also have lo hei (Yusheng) for overall celebration, it has always been a routine for me to conduct a lo hei on our own, and that means my department only. Hmm, if i recall correctly, this should be the 2nd time I've done since I got back from my maternal leave, hehe.

I decided to indulge on a good Yusheng for my department and so, off I went to buy Sake Sushi Yusheng! And to top up as a more meaningful Lo Hei, we did it on everyone's Bday ~ 人日 (9th Feb 2011)!

I even bought the largest one for fret of not enough for my entire department! So far, this is the most EXPENSIVE Yusheng I've ever bought but looking at the amount of salmons they gave, and how fresh their salmons are...I totally ignored the price of it, LOL!

As a saying goes like this, "一分钱,一分货". 物超所值 is the important factor! Indeed, it's worth it!

So Yummy, hehe! There's my favourite jellyfish in this Yusheng too!

Here's what it looks like after we added in ALL the necessary ingredients before we start the Lo Hei. Frankly speaking, though this size of Yusheng is meant for 6~10 pax only, we didn't even manage to finish it all! That proves how big the portion is for this Yusheng. Check out the salmons within this Yusheng...so prominent...so fleshy!!!!

Even if it's a short Lo Hei, everyone seemed to enjoy it, the personal feel of Lo Hei within our department only. Really love this great day where I managed to see everyone's smile on their face from I've organised ^^.

eReading from NLB FTW ~

Wahahaha ~ I am so damn happy! Why? Cos with my Samsung Galaxy Tab, I am able to read my novels in it BUT without the need to pay in order to read! I may be outdated if anyone knew about it already but it's only until now did I know that NLB (National Library Board) provides ebooks for loan!

All thanks to my colleague who showed me "Digital Life" which was a few issues ago, there was a few pages of articles writing about utilising tablets for ereading. From there, I discovered that an application known as "OverDrive" is able to allow me to access NLB for ebooks which are available for loan. With that, I do not need to purchase any ebooks from Kobo or Amazon anymore unless there is a novel I really want to read from! ^^

And so, the current ebook (novel) I am reading now on my galaxy tab is :~

Nice novel, am 40% into the novel and the storyline's pretty good. It was my first attempt on Dean Koontz's novel though. Wanted to loan Sidney Sheldon's novels but they were out on loan already :(

It is a good knowledge discovered and this has allowed me to continue reading without cluttering my storage full of physical novels. I thought it to be good to share to all of you should you reside in Singapore. This application is available on almost all smart phones especially iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry. For me, I believe it will be a good long time before I may step into Kobo and actually purchase an ebook there since OverDrive has pretty much a hefty collection of good novels (Yes, I already explored a.k.a scout it :P). Oh, the loan terms are exactly the same as loaning physical books from NLB ~ 21 days & it will automatically returned back to NLB. Cool right? ^^

Alright, no time to lose, I have only 16 days left to finish this enovel & I'm just 40% onto it! Ciao!~

大年初一,初二 ~ HAPPY CNY!

The year of Rabbit is said to be a prosper year, so I hope everyone can huat, Huat, HUAT!

I dunno what went wrong with me but I happened to buy all my CNY clothes in TOGA designs! I think it's the trend now too since I saw so many celebs wearing toga top or dress in CH8's CNY celebration show on CNY eve...

Anyway, time for photos for 初一 and 初二 of my CNY ^^.

First, my outfits for the 1st 2 days of CNY:

初一: Navy Toga jumpsuit from Far East Plaza.

初二: Blue Toga dress bought online. Leggings is not new one :P

Followed by some photos taken by my cousin, Raymond ^^:

初一: Agnes, my cousin and me. LOVE this shot!

初一: My cousin's son, Kaize & me ^^.

初一: Photographer of the day, Raymond & me!

Last but not the least, a vainpot shot of myself taken by Raymond at my humble request, hehe!

初一: Flash too strong liao lar!
1 confession to make though...I did take a camwhore shot of myself earlier today which I pretty liked but when I was doing some editing on my iPhone just now, I accidentally deleted it without realising it! Argh, so hate myself when it comes to such situation! I really love that photo one ok!

I did another blog post on my private blog, so if you are already an invitee to that blog of mine, feel free to browse through it that connects more to Amelia ^^.

More CNY house visiting during the weekend, hope to be able to snap more shots or make more story to post here :)

Enjoy your CNY, everyone, and make sure you HUAT AH!

Arrival of my new toy ~ Samsung Galaxy Tab

After a considerably long wait, I finally receive my new toy of 2011 ~ Samsung Galaxy Tab! I was so so so thrilled & happy when I held my new toy before just in front of me!

And cos it's my new toy, I was so eager to dress it up & so, I indulged myself in a Viva Collection's casing!

This casing cost me a good sum of $59 which though not cheap, it's authentic. I also bought an anti-glare screen protector at $29.90 which I love it soooooo much, hehe! However, I still cant believe that I could spendso much on accessories for galaxy tab when I couldn't even willing to spend so much on iPhone accessories...I love my new toy for sure. Why? Cos I love the fact that I'll be using it more for ereading and internet usage than anything else. Gotta enjoy my toy to the fullest don't you think? :-P

By the way, this post is blogged using tab. Its seriously no joke to blog using it since there's not really a decent blogger app good enough for Android yet.

Duh. Took me almost an hour just to post this!
