Nail Treatment ~ New Base Coat!

Thanks to my sweet colleague, Jem, I got my new nail treatment coat which she ordered for me!

According to her, Nail Tek has high reviews on their products and since I am in urgent need to treat my often-chipped nails, this seems like a good choice for me ^.^! I am not so sure how much it's worth here since I've never seen this brand and model anywhere before, but this 15ml bottle just cost me a good-oh-goodly of 10 bucks! Not only that, this can also be used as a base coat too! With this, I really hope my nails can be somewhat strengthened...

Speaking of nail polishes...I AM SOOOOO in need of a MANI/PEDI!!!!!! I wanna go during lunch time but seriously, with CNY so bloody near, they bound to jerk the rates up right? This is in fact the least of my worries, cos my most worrying part will be manicure if I really go for it. Why? Cos...I am a clumsy person, so I tend to easily scratch/chip/disfigured my newly done-up manicure. Happens often, bleh...Am thinking to just paint my nails myself with some experiment on dual-color coating but scared I may just ruin my nails instead...

Don't think I really have time for mani/pedi anymore so I guess I shall go ahead with my experiment on Sunday night, keke!

Sick, so sick ~

Flu's been flying around so much (especially from my little girl) that it had finally caught up on me...

Have not been feeling very well since last Saturday & yesterday night was worst. I was practically shivering beneath my blanket. What's more, news' been broadcasting about the uprising of H1N1 again in HongKong! That's really "relieving"...bleh. That in fact only made me felt worse. I also recalled the H1N1 cases were increasing in England but somehow when I asked around, it seemed that everyone only knew about HongKong's situation.

Went to work today & apparently I'm not the only one who had gotten the flu bug (NOT H1N1 of cos!). Luckily, one of my colleagues bought some masks (forgotten why he bought it in the 1st place) and so, all those who were more health-conscious and worried for their colleagues who had yet to catch the flu wore the masks for the day. Naturally, I was included in the "masking" team too.

That's me all masked up, hugging my half-pig-half-rabbit plushie in the office. Honestly speaking, that's the 1st time in my whole bloody life which I masked myself up! Weird experience of course but what to do! CNY is approaching and most of us who have gotten sick didn't want to spread the virus to the others! How do I look? Not too shabby even when I'm sick, I hope??????

Thanks to this "not-so-good" timely arrival of the flu bug, I decided to take a day off tomorrow to rest my body in hope for a better me, ready for work for the upcoming week + CNY.

To those who are worried about H1N1, go for a vaccination early if you can.

Sickening FLU, GO AWAY WILL YA?!

Samsung Galaxy Tab~

MINE!!! It is going to be mine SOON! Wahahaha!!!!!

Pardon my excitement but I am too freaking excited and happy that I will be getting my Samsung Galaxy Tab soon!

Some people ask me, "Why don't you get iPad? Why Galaxy Tab?". The reason is very simple. I am NOT buying IT! If I am gonna spend $$ buying, I will definitely choose iPad, but I'm NOT! So quit asking me the same question folks. And until I tried Galaxy Tab myself, I am not gonna comment which is better first. Nonetheless, I'm so excited about it!

And yes, I'm not buying it so how am I going to get it in the first place? Well, this is gonna be a gift to me from my dearest as an Anni. gift! ^^ Simple as that ^.^v

Because of this piece of great news, I was so focused on finding accessories for my upcoming new toy (I have yet to collect it) for the past few days. Saw so many offers on the cases online but after surfing around then did I realise that casings for Galaxy Tab and iPad aren't cheap at all...

After surfing for so many days, I decided to buy Viva Sheen Case for my Galaxy Tab from Singtel Shop and it's only at $59! Imagine I go get a casing online, I still gotta wait for the shipping and delivery which may take more than 2 weeks to a month T.T.

Can't wait for my Galaxy Tab to arrive so I can buy the case for it and use it ASAP!!!

New Loot ~ Bag Collection

Wahahaha~ Gotten a deal in SMH selling a Coach Hobo Bag posted by someone and I am glad I bought it at a whoopie great bargain price!

Anyway, this is not of the latest model from Coach, however, I really like it cos it's BLACK! I don't really fancy Coach (though I already owned a "Sabrina") but this black design did attract me afterall.

My Kate Spade bag haven't buy and yet I bought a Coach...Arghhh, why can't I wait a while more? Anyway, I am gonna buy my Kate Spade bag next month after CNY unless...otherwise stated a.k.a fancy another design to ditch buying Kate Spade, LOL!

Angry Bird Lookalike?

Today I got a plushie, one that was produced based on an online golf game sometime back in the early years which I joined the coy. Last time when I looked at it, it was just a normal bird. But now, with the introduction of the all-so famous Angry Birds game from iPhone AppStore, I strongly feel that they look so much alike.

And so, here's what I did, lol!

Now, they do look somewhat alike don't you think? Those who played Angry Birds should know which is which ^^. I also added something on the lookalike plushie and here's how it looks :D

Haha~! I added brows onto the lookalike plushie! I initially wanted to add on the eyes portion to make it look even more similar to Angry Bird but I don't wanna destroy the look of its original plushie too, hehe!

The similarities are based on my own opinion and of course, they may not really look that similar after all...to someone else. I did it all just for fun as the 1st thing that came onto my mind when I saw the plushie was Angry Bird. So let me enjoy the fun ya!

Ok, I'll just admit. I'm simply bored at this time of the night...bleh.

Craving for new bag....

Been having the thought to buy a Kate Spade bag recently and the urge is getting stronger and stronger, i really dunno what came onto me >.<

Was also looking at Coach but since I already owned a Coach bag, I really don't feel like getting another Coach as I am looking more for a slick & classic type of bag. There are some bags from Kate Spade I am interested in but I seriously cannot make up my mind!

They are not ranked in the order I like. In fact, I like them all....just a matter of which I really want. This is maddening cos I am actually on a BANNING spree imposed by myself and yet I am still looking for things to buy.

Anyway, I am definitely not gonna buy the bag now since CNY is approaching. Let's wait till after CNY for my to restart my SHOP SPREE~!

My 1st Experience with "KOI"...

Yeah..laugh at me if you like, this is indeed my 1st attempt at KOI drinks. Heard so much rave and comments about how good KOI drinks were but never had the chance to really taste it. Not that I was SO lazy till I get to try it now but their Queues at every single outlet are just simply terrible a.k.a horribly LONG!

Am so happy that KOI cafe opened its latest outlet at Tampines Central, at the Town Council building there so went there to buy the highly raved KOI drink.

Saw hell lots of people hanging around there and believe it or not, all of them were waiting for their orders! As for me, I ordered with my colleagues & this' the Q. No. we got:

Scary, really scary Queue. Are their drinks so damn nice? After waiting for like 20 mins, we finally got our drinks and here's mine!

Passion Fruit Green Tea with only Quarter Sugar.

You're not 眼花..it's large size alright...Since I may not even know if i would queue for it ever again, I reckon I just heck care and ordered the large one, LOL! Initially, I didn't want mini pearls in my drink, but my colleague kept telling me their mini pearls are VERY nice, and so...here it is, with pearls..and they gave A LOT! One thing I like about KOI before I even get to taste their drink will be...they allow customers to choose the level of sugar they want them to add, which is really good. Customers can choose if they want to be healthy by having 0% sugar, or 100% sugar (if you dare). My drink looked so yummy even when I want to drink it, hehe.

BUT! The pearls they gave were seriously an overkill. I really couldn't finish ALL of them and as a result, this is what's left of my KOI:

Conclusion of KOI?

So-So only..Maybe it's cos I didn't order the milktea one as I heard from many people that KOI's milktea is very nice and they are famous for that. Since i can't take milk at all, milktea is a NO-NO for me. Well, too bad for me. If you ask me to queue again for KOI when there's a seriously long queue, I personally will not think I will Queue again. Maybe if they have smooth queue then i will consider, haha!

Loots from HanaSecret~

Whoopie! My loots from HanaSecret have finally arrived!

Had been spending too much money and effort on my face then did i realised i had not been spending ANY single cent on apparels since my trip from Seoul! Wow, that indicates how much attention was given to my face condition....

Anyway, here's my loots from HanaSecret. Didn't take off-hand as i straight away dropped them into my washing machine without 2nd thoughts, bleh. And so, i took the pictures from HanaSecret as reference.

I bought 2, as HanaSecret was having a promotion ~ Any 2 pieces from the specific category = $20! But, i couldn't find the photo of the Jumper (it's actually a 3/4 jumper with spaghetti-straps) which i bought already so let's make do with 1 ya? Anyway, it's really a good deal! The quality's not bad and not to mention the price!

Honestly speaking, this' only my 2nd purchase from HanaSecret as their collections are mainly floral-designed which erm....not really my type. But, i really like my 1st purchase - the black halter ruffle top which i always wore (You may have seen me wear it quite often before, that is if you know me!) and i hope i will come to fall in love with these 2 new additions. :D

I am pondering the idea if i should wear 1 of them for CNY or if i should shop for more, kekeke!

Ettusais ~ Ooh La La

First of all, I am quite glad that after SPENDING countless of $$$, I finally bought a cleanser I like, keke~!

Pore Care Wash from Ettusais

Yes, that's right. It's from Ettusais! I bought this Pore Care Wash from Ettusais last Tuesday after much consideration between Clarins and Avene. Had been using sample size cleanser from Clarins which was given to me when I last bought my Clarins skincare products and it is really quite good. Clarins' products are mostly non-comedogenic but they come with very high price-tags. As for Avene, I was considering as my choice for cleanser as well but after knowing the hazard level in terms of ingredients was a big 8 from researching online, i striked it off my chart immediately. What's more important is, I chose Ettusais because it is cheaper (erm..$10 cheaper than Clarins..) and it is non-comedogenic, fragrance-free and colorant-free.

However, this bottle of Pore Care Wash doesn't comes cheap. This 125ml cleanser is worth a whoopie 30 bucks! For those who are used to drugstore brands pricing, this price may be a little too high for them. I do feel it to be expensive for just a cleanser but well, Clarins was 40 bucks and given the fact that it was meant for skin prone to Acnes, i decided to give it a try afterall.

Even though it's 125ml, it is pretty amazing that just a little amount of it can cleanse my face thorough enough. According to the sales crew from Ettusais, I only need to squeeze out the cleanser gel which is the size of a 5-cents coin and that will do. I did exactly what she said & apparently it really is enough for my face! Upon cleansing it, my skin feel refreshed & clean, hehe ^^.

I also saw a lot of products from Ettusais that seem to be quite good for my skin. Most of them seem to be non-comedogenic, fragrance-free and colorant-free. The only downside is....they don't come cheap. For now, i think i will just focus fire on using this cleanser to see if it works well enough on my face due to the STUPID acne attack. Perhaps i should just hold whatever i am thinking & stop spending unnecessary $$!

Ok, enough of my enthusiasm for my new cleanser. Time to hit the sack so i can try to forget how my stomach is torturing me at this precise moment. Oyasumi~

About my Skin ~ A Visit to the GP

For those who had read what i posted in Tumblr previously before i moved my blog here, you should have known about the skin condition on my face. I made a promise to myself to visit a doctor soon so as to find out what the hell went wrong with my bloody face that is ensuring it is singing symphony - endless breakouts. After a long debating within my soul, i finally dragged myself to the GP today.

Waited like 45 minutes to be able to see the doctor's 如山真面目 (Ok lar, she quite young & pretty. Yes, it's a SHE) yet i felt kinda relieved as she's quite friendly. Told her about the problems i am facing along with the type of situation i am encountering, she prescribed this to me...

Eryacne ~ the medication she prescribed for me to treat my acnes. Yes, she diagnosed my condition as ACNE but considered as average condition since they are not that wide-spread yet. She also told me the following when i asked her the DO's and DON'Ts:

Me: How long will this medication gel shows result in de-swell my acnes?

Doctor: Give it 2 weeks to show its results.

Me: Can I use night cream?

Doctor: NO. Please don't use night cream.

Me: Can I use moisturiser?

Doctor: Yes, only if it's lotion-based. Not oil-based, not creamy-based.

Me: Which skin type do I belong to?

Doctor: You have mixture. Dry and Oily at the same time a.k.a Combination Skin

Me: How do I make the acne scars fade or disappear?

Doctor: Do nothing. Maintain a healthy diet & the scars will slowly fade away, unless you wish to laser them away.

Me: Can the whitening skincare products help to reduce the scar marks?

Doctor: NO. They won't as they meant to lighten pigmentation only rather than acne scar marks. Don't waste your money on those products.

So what caused the skin condition on my face to be so terrible? Honestly speaking, the doctor wasn't sure as well since she said it could be Hormonal Changes, weather changes or even usage of pore-clogging skincare products for too long that resulted in what i am experiencing today. Sigh..ultimate sadness...

Was glad that i made the right decision in storming into a GP 1st. Nice doctor (company listed, but still gotta pay up cos skin condition not eligible to claim) & nice advices given. Can consider heading back for future consultation, hehe. Hope my acnes will stop giving me problems by stop visiting my face & let the scars disappear ASAP, shoo..SHOO!

Wedding Dinner on 2nd Jan 2011~

2nd Jan 2011 marks the day whom one of my close friends has tied the knot with her boyfriend of 13 years, now turned husband! Like I mentioned in my private family blog, a hearty Congratulations to Irene & Psalms on their big day!

13 years of relationship is seriously no joke and it wasn't easy to maintain at all (mine only 10 years man). Watching them held their hands tightly, reciting their vows to each other really made me feel so touched. It is really great to see yet another couple walking into the path of marriage, sharing their lives together officially ^^.

On that night, all the ladies attended the dinner (Mandarin Oriental) as well and we took the opportunity to snap photos together. Thanks to Joyee, some of the pictures were snapped by her PRO camera and therefore more clearer to see! It was a pity that there wasn't a lot of chances to take photos of the couple since they were busy walking around, changing their outfits and taking group photos. Now i can't wait to see the group photo taking from the table on that night!

There's one more wedding i will like to attend & let's hope this day will arrive really soon! ^.^v

New Hairstyle, New Hair Color!

I dyed my hair...again! Decided to try a new color from Liese since it has been months i held on to my current hair color. And you know what? I did that on New Year's Day itself, lol! So much for New Year activity...blah.

I also cut my hair recently to an even shorter length but unfortunately, my dear hairdresser cut my fringe a bit too short already. :( And so, i have no choice but to do this ~ shuffle all my fringe to make it look like it's short bangs until my fringe grows longer >.<. Not bad ya? Still got a chance to salvage my impossibly ugly short fringe, keke.

A bit far but I quite like this pose of mine, LOL!

Tada, so this is the end result after i color-ed and cut my hair (Thanks Joyee for snapping this shot!). I know it may be a little too far to observe the hair color but me thinks it's pretty nice color ^^.

I am wondering what other colors I can try from Liese next time. So far, I've tried Mashmallow Brown, Glossy Brown, Chiffon Beige and Sweet Apricot (latest color - my previous hair color). Any suggestions? Feel like trying Ash Brown next, hehehe.
